THE PRODIGY & THE ALCHEMIST "Stuck On You"
Slow start for rap tunes in 07 but Prodigy from Mobb Deep has a few classics on his new collabo with producer The Alchemist. It's all too rare to see a producer and MC work together for a complete album these days and even less common for a rap record to be done in less than 40 mins. Check out the classic soul sound on this tune Stuck On You. The album is called Return Of The Mac.

BATTLES "Atlas"
Free-Jazz icon Anthony Braxton's son Tyondai has a group called Battles with the dude who plays drums in Helmet & Mark Of Cain. They are based in NYC and signed to Warp (Aphex Twin, Squarepusher etc). "Atlas" is the first taste of their forthcoming record, mental stuff.

i dunno, I thought that return of the mac record had an air of cheapness hanging all over it that was hard to shake... waddya think a the amy hinehouse rekkid? i reckon it's fuckin awwwesome.
